Introduction To Cricut
Learn the basics of Cricut and Cricut Design Space with a librarian. We’ll cover machine basics, mat basics, materials basics, opening design space, inserting text, changing font and font size, moving objects on the canvas, changing object size, Cricut’s image library, inserting images, and setting up the Cricut to cut while working on a practice project.
Advanced Cricut
Practice your basic Cricut skills, and learn some new ones. We’ll cover uploading your own images, uploading your own fonts, cuts with multiple layers, cuts with multiple colors / materials, advanced materials, grouping, splicing, welding, and mirroring while working on a practice project.
Work On Your Own Project
The Cricut can make mugs, t-shirts, tote bags, and more! Have an idea for a project, and need help with your design? Need to book the Cricut to cut a design you’ve made at home? This is the appointment for you!
Please note: The library will provide the machine, blades, and mats – you must provide all other project materials. Click here to find out more about what type of materials you’ll need for your project.
Cricut Design Space
You’ve got the Cricut Basics down – now you want to try it out at home! To create projects for Cricut, download Cricut Design Space to your computer, smartphone or tablet. Once your project is designed, save the file to your Cricut account. Book a “Work On Your Own Project” appointment to use the library’s Cricut machine to cut your project.
Fees: Free to use, user must make Cricut Design Space account.
